Anton Grăjdieru
Anton Grăjdieru was a journalist and politician from the Republic of Moldova. He served as a member of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union. He was the first editor in chief of the Romanian language program on Radio Ukraine, Radio Kiev. Also, he was editor in chief of Învăţămîntul public in Chişinău; on 18 September 1988 the newspapers published the Letter of the 66, an important call for a return to the Latin alphabet. The Supreme Soviet of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics ( rus, Верховный Совет Союза Советских Социалистических Республик, r=Verkhovnyy Sovet Soyuza Sovetskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik) was, beginning in 1936, the most authoritative legislative body of the Soviet Union, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), and the only one with the power to approve Constitution of the Soviet Union, constitutional amendments. Prior to 1936, the Congress of Soviets of the Soviet Union, Congress of Soviets was the supreme legislative body. During 1989–1991 Congress of People's Deputies of the Soviet Union, a similar, but not identical structure was the supreme legislative body.
