The Analogs
The Analogs are a Polish street punk band. They originated in Szczecin, and are quite successful on the local and international punk rock scene. The band is widely regarded for making street punk music popular in Poland. Although they used to claim to be apolitical, The Analogs have always been completely committed to anti-fascism and eventually have started referring to themselves as "100% leftie". They have performed alongside influential ska artist Roy Ellis and recognise the multi-cultural roots of the skinhead subculture. Band history The beginnings In the early 1995, three members of a ska band, Dr. Cycos, came into a rehearsal hall in Szczecin to work on songs to be performed in traditional punk rock style. These were Marek Adamowicz (guitarist), Ziemowit Pawluk (drummer) and Paweł Czekała (bassist). The band did not have a name at that point. After melody lines for the first few songs had been prepared the band started to look for a vocalist. The first candi ...

Peter And The Test Tube Babies
Peter and the Test Tube Babies are an English punk rock band, formed in the small town of Peacehaven, England in 1978, by Derek "Strangefish" Greening and Peter Bywaters. Due to their humorous tongue-in-cheek lyrics, they have been considered part of the Punk Pathetique subgenre. History Peter and the Test Tube Babies were first featured in ''Sounds'' magazine in July 1980, and after a John Peel Radio One session, made their vinyl debut on the Brighton compilation album ''Vaultage 78''. In recent years the band has played at festivals including the 11th Antifest in 2005. They also had two songs on the Oi! compilation ''Oi! the Album'' in that same year. They favoured absurd lyrics and strange titles, such as "The Queen Gives Good Blow Jobs". In 1982, they covered the chart-topping Gary Glitter hit "I'm the Leader of the Gang (I Am)" on their album '' Pissed and Proud''. When the band is not touring, Peter Bywaters offers personal English as a second language tuition on a li ...

List Of Historic Rock Festivals
A rock festival is an open-air rock concert featuring many different performers, typically spread over two or three days and having a campsite and other amenities and forms of entertainment provided at the venue. Some festivals are singular events, while others recur annually in the same location. Occasionally, a festival will focus on a particular genre (e.g., folk, heavy metal, world music), but many attempt to bring together a diverse lineup to showcase a broad array of popular music trends. History Initially, some of the earliest rock festivals were built on the foundation of pre-existing jazz and blues festivals, but quickly evolved to reflect the rapidly changing musical tastes of the time. For example, the United Kingdom's National Jazz Festival was launched in Richmond from 26 to 27 August 1961. The first three of these annual outdoor festivals featured only jazz music, but by the fourth "Jazz & Blues Festival" in 1964, a shift had begun that incorporated some blues and ...
