Annette Kruisbrink
Annette Kruisbrink (born February 15, 1958, in Amsterdam) is a Dutch classical guitarist and composer. Life She studied the guitar with Pieter van der Staak at the conservatory of Zwolle and attended masterclasses by Leo Brouwer, John Mills, Toyohiko Satoh. She is an autodidact on the flamenco guitar and vihuela. She studied composition with Alex Manassen and attended composition classes run by Nigel Osborne and Claudio Prieto. She has composed over 300 compositions that have been published in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Canada and the United States. She was commissioned by the Dutch broadcaster NCRV, Huismuziek, Guitar Festival Zwolle, Theatre Odeon Zwolle, Fonds voor de Scheppende Toonkunst and Novam. Pieter Van Der Staak
Pieter van der Staak (May 25, 1930, in The Hague – November 2, 2007, in Zwolle) was a Dutch classical guitarist, composer and professor of music. Education As a guitarist Pieter van der Staak was self-taught till he met Andrés Segovia in 1954. From 1955 to 1959 he studied guitar with Segovia and with Alirio Diaz in Sienna. With Emilio Pujol he studied the vihuela and ancient music notation. Both, Alirio Diaz and Emilio Pujol became lifelong friends of Pieter van der Staak. Claudio Prieto
Claudio Prieto (24 November 1934 – 5 April 2015) was a Spanish composer He was born in Muñeca de la Peña, Palencia and began his musical career as a boy in the mid-20th century playing various musical instruments for the municipal band of Guardo. He moved to San Lorenzo de El Escorial when he was 16 years, where he began his education with the musicologist Samuel Rubio. In 1960 he obtained a Cultural Exchange scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs admitting him to the Advanced Course taught in the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Over the next three years, he studied under Goffredo Petrassi, Bruno Maderna and Boris Porena. After completing the training he received a Higher Diploma from the Academy and returned to Spain. Zwolle () is a city and municipality in the Northeastern Netherlands. It is the capital of the province of Overijssel and the province's second-largest municipality after Enschede with a population of 130,592 as of 1 December 2021. Andrés Segovia Torres, 1st Marquis of Salobreña (21 February 1893 – 2 June 1987) was a Spanish virtuoso classical guitarist. Many professional classical guitarists were students of Segovia or their students. Segovia's contribution to the modern-romantic repertoire included not only commissions but also his own transcriptions of classical or baroque works. He is remembered for his expressive performances: his wide palette of tone, and his distinctive musical personality, phrasing and style.
