Annemiek Van Vleuten
Annemiek van Vleuten (born 8 October 1982) is a Dutch professional road racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Van Vleuten is a two-time winner of both the road race (2019 and 2022) and the time trial (2017 and 2018) at the UCI Road World Championships. In the Olympic Games, she crashed out of the lead of the road race in 2016, before winning the gold medal at the time trial event and a silver in the road race at the COVID-19 pandemic-delayed 2020 Olympics. She won the Dutch National Road Race Championships in 2012, and won the Dutch National Time Trial Championships four times between 2014 and 2019. Van Vleuten has won both of women's cycling Grand Tours – winning the Giro d'Italia Donne three times in 2018, 2019 and 2022, and winning the inaugural Tour de France Femmes in 2022. 2017 UEC European Track Championships
The 2017 UEC European Track Championships was the eight edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Velodrom in Berlin, Germany, between 19 and 22 October 2017. The event was organised by the European Cycling Union. All European champions were awarded the UEC European Champion jersey which could have been worn by the champion throughout the year when competing in the same event at other competitions. The 12 Olympic events (sprint, team sprint, team pursuit, keirin, madison and omnium for men and women), as well as 11 other events were on the program for these European Championships. La Route De France
The Route de France Féminine is a women's cycle race. First held in 2006, it was rated 2.2 by the UCI for the 2006 and 2007 edition, and 2.1 since. The race was cancelled in 2011, but returned the next year. With the ending of the Grande Boucle Féminine Internationale after 2009, and the Tour de l'Aude Cycliste Féminin after 2010, the Route de France Féminine became the only major women's stage race held in France. The UCI Road World Championships Elite Women's Road Race is a one-day event for professional cyclists that takes place annually. Cycling At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's Road Time Trial
The women's road time trial event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 28 July 2021 around the Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka Prefecture. 25 cyclists from 20 nations competed in the event. The race was won by Annemiek van Vleuten of Netherlands. Van Vleuten set the fastest times at both intermediate time checks before setting the only time under 31 minutes. She won by 56 seconds over the silver medalist, Marlen Reusser of Switzerland. Reusser set the fourth and fifth fastest times at the first two time checks, respectively. Her final split allowed her to move into second, becoming the only rider within a minute of van Vleuten's time. The bronze medal went to Anna van der Breggen, the world champion and van Vleuten's compatriot. She was faster than Reusser at both time checks before Reusser eventually moved ahead by five seconds at the finish. The Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta (La Madrid Challenge by La Vuelta before 2020) is an elite women's professional bicycle race held in Spain, and has been part of the UCI Women's WorldTour since 2016. Similar to La Course by Le Tour de France, the race has traditionally coincided with the final day of the Vuelta a España. The race was first held as a one-day road race in the centre of Madrid from 2015. From 2018 onwards, a time trial was held as a first stage, albeit within the Madrid region.
