Anne Kabagambe
Anne Namara Kabagambe is a Ugandan international development and finance executive. She served as the former executive director of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, representing the World Bank Group's Africa Group 1 constituency. Additionally, she is a board member of Barrick Gold and Financial Services Volunteer Corps. Early life and education Anne Kabagambe was born in a town in the southwestern region of Uganda near the borders with Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She is the eighth of twelve children, born to a regional government official and a stay-at-home mother. After completing her secondary education in Uganda, Anne pursued her undergraduate degree at the University of California at San Diego. Western African Ebola Virus Epidemic
The 2013–2016 epidemic of Ebola virus disease, centered in Western Africa, was the most widespread outbreak of the disease in history. It caused major loss of life and socioeconomic disruption in the region, mainly in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
