Anne-Cathrine Herdorf, (born 10 July 1967 in Copenhagen), is a Danish singer and actress who represented Denmark with the group Bandjo at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest. Performing the song "En lille melodi" ("A little tune" / English recording title: "A Simple Little Song") she finished in 5th place with 83 points. Denmark was represented by Hot Eyes (the name chosen for use at Eurovision by Kirsten and Søren), with the song "Ka' du se hva' jeg sa'?", at the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 30 April in Dublin. "Ka' du se hva' jeg sa'?" was chosen as the Danish entry at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on 27 February. This was the last of three Eurovision appearances for Kirsten and Søren. Hot Eyes was the name adopted for international acts by the Danish singing duo known in their home country as Kirsten and Søren. It was formed by Kirsten Siggaard Andersen (born 7 September 1954 in Slagelse) and Søren Bundgaard Nielsen (born 4 March 1956 in Glostrup). Biography Kirsten was brought up in a traditional Christian family who sang in a church choir when she was young and later pursued a career deemed appropriate and desirable, working in a bank, where she met her husband, Jorgen. Søren was a musician, singer and composer, at that time a member of the Danish band Sir Henry. Both Sir Henry and Kirsten entered the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, which serves as the Danish pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), in 1983. Denmark was present at the Eurovision Song Contest 1986, held in Bergen, Norway. Before Eurovision Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 1986 The Danish national final to select their entry, the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, was held on 22 February 1986 at the Danmarks Radio Studios in Copenhagen, and was hosted for the ninth straight time by radio and television host Jørgen de Mylius. Five regional juries across Denmark selected the winning song out of five songs that survived a semifinal round. The winning entry was "Du er fuld af løgn", performed by Lise Haavik and composed by John Hatting. At Eurovision Lise Haavik performed eighteenth on the night of the contest, following Sweden and preceding Finland. At the close of the voting the song had received 77 points, placing 6th in a field of 20 competing countries. This high placing was the start of five top-ten finishes for Denmark in the Contest.
