Anna Serner, born 11 October 1964 in Stockholm, is a Sweden, Swedish legal professional, public speaker and former CEO of the Swedish Film Institute. Biography Born in 1964, Anna Serner is the CEO of the Swedish Film Institute. She took up the post on October 1, 2011. Her previous position was as Managing Director of the Swedish Media Publishers' Association (Tidningsutgivarna), where she was active in public debate on freedom of speech and the media's role in society. For two years prior to this she ran her own marketing communications consultancy business, and was also CEO of the Advertising Association of Sweden (Reklamförbundet) from 1998 to 2006. Guldbagge Awards
The Guldbagge Awards ( sv, Guldbaggen, en, Gold scarab) is an official and annual Swedish film awards ceremony honoring achievements in the Swedish film industry. Winners are awarded a statuette depicting a rose chafer, better known by the name Guldbaggen. The awards, first presented in 1964 at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm, are overseen by the Swedish Film Institute. It is described as the Swedish equivalent of the Academy Awards. Uncas () was a ''sachem'' of the Mohegans who made the Mohegans the leading regional Indian tribe in lower Connecticut, through his alliance with the New England colonists against other Native Americans in the United States, Indian tribes. Early life and family Uncas was born near the Thames River (Connecticut), Thames River in present-day Connecticut, the son of the Mohegan sachem ''Owaneco''. ''Uncas'' is a variant of the Mohegan term ''Wonkus'', meaning "Fox". He was a descendant of the principal sachems of the Mohegan Indian Tribe, Mohegans, Pequots, and Narragansett (tribe), Narragansetts. Owaneco presided over the village known as ''Montonesuck''. Harry Leo Schein (13 October 1924 – 11 February 2006) was an Austrian-born Sweden, Swedish chemical engineer, writer and a major figure in Culture of Sweden, Swedish culture. Born in Vienna, Schein was a founder of the Swedish Film Institute and acted as its first Managing Director from 1963 to 1978. He is best known for his role in pushing through the film reform of 1963, which ensured that 10 percent of the money from cinema ticket sales was handed to a central film organization.
