WBC Dynamo Kursk (russian: ЖБК «Динамо» Курск) is a Russian women's basketball club from Kursk playing in the Russian Premier League. They won their first FIBA Eurocup title in 2012. In the 2016–17 season, Kursk won the EuroLeague Women after going undefeated in the competition. Candace Nicole Parker (born April 19, 1986) is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Sky of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was selected as the first overall pick in the 2008 WNBA draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. A versatile player, Parker mainly plays the forward and center positions. The Russia women's national basketball team is administered by the Russian Basketball Federation. The team has participated in four FIBA World Championship for Women and their best finish has been a silver medal in 1998, 2002 and 2006.
