Anna Flanagan
Anna Flanagan (born 8 January 1992) is an Australian field hockey player who plays as a defender for the Canberra Labor Club Strikers in the Australian Hockey League. She is nicknamed ''Flanno''. A full international with over 100 caps since 2010 for the Australian national team, she has represented the nation at one World Cup and in one Olympic Games tournaments. Career Flanagan is a defender, who specialises in taking corner penalties. In 2000, after being a multi-sport athlete, she made a commitment to playing field hockey. Flanagan made her national team debut in March 2010 in a friendly against South Korea as an 18-year-old, after having been first called up to the team when she was 17 years old. Her selection to the squad came during a period when the team was injecting a lot of youth players following the 2008 Summer Olympics.
