Anna Dawson
Anna Dawson (born 27 July 1937) is an England, English actress and singer. Born in County Borough of Bolton, Bolton, Lancashire, Dawson spent part of her childhood in Tanganyika (territory), Tanganyika, where her father worked. She attended the Elmhurst School for Dance, Elmhurst Ballet School and after training at the Central School of Speech and Drama she learned her craft by playing in repertory theatre companies. Dawson went on to star in several West End theatre, West End musicals. She featured in episodes of ''Dixon of Dock Green'' during the 1960s, ''The Benny Hill Show'' during the 1980s, and played Hyacinth Bucket's sister List of Keeping Up Appearances characters#Violet and Bruce, Violet ("the one with the Mercedes, sauna and room for a pony") in the final series of the sitcom ''Keeping Up Appearances'', though her character was only featured on screen briefly in four episodes. Bolton
Bolton (, locally ) is a large town in Greater Manchester in North West England, formerly a part of Lancashire. A former mill town, Bolton has been a production centre for textiles since Flemish people, Flemish weavers settled in the area in the 14th century, introducing a wool and cotton-weaving tradition. ''The Kenny Everett Video Show'' (later renamed ''The Kenny Everett Video Cassette'') is a British television comedy and music programme that was made by Thames Television for ITV from 3 July 1978 to 21 May 1981. Overview Philip Jones, Thames Television's head of light entertainment, asked his son who he would like to see on television - he replied Kenny Everett. The show's format was conceived over lunch and a walk between producer David Mallet and Everett himself, having decided that they could not watch on television what they wanted to watch. Originally, the ''Video Show'' consisted of Everett in the role of a visual DJ linking studio performances from bands, singers, and the show's resident dance troupe Hot Gossip, along with occasional sketches and Captain Kremmen cartoons. Allan Stewart is a Scottish entertainer, known for his appearances in pantomime, who has performed at the Royal Variety Performance. His son, David Stewart is a songwriter known for his work with the band, BTS while his daughter Kate is a singer. Career Stewart's career began in the 1960s when he performed as a cabaret pop singer and musician. He got his break when he appeared in ''Hello, Good evening, and welcome'', an all-round entertainment show in which a trio of multi-talented young entertainers present gags, impressions, sketches and music. His next big show, his 1979 STV series, '' The Allan Stewart Tapes'', were picked up by ITV network and broadcast during spring 1980. Leslie Douglas Sargent Crowther, CBE (6 February 1933 – 29 September 1996) was an English comedian, actor, TV presenter, and game show host. Biography Crowther was born on Monday, 6 February, 1933 in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, son of Leslie Frederick Crowther (died 1955), of Twickenham, Middlesex, and Ethel Maraquita (died 1951), née Goulder. At the end of 1944, he moved to London with his parents, but was evacuated for a few months to the Isle of Bute until just after the Second World War ended. Crowther's stage experience began in the mid-1940s. As a youngster he showed promise as a pianist, and in 1944 won a junior scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music. ''Robin's Nest'' is a British sitcom made by Thames Television, which aired on the ITV network for six series from 11 January 1977 to 31 March 1981. It saw Richard O'Sullivan reprise the role of Robin Tripp, one of the lead characters in the sitcom ''Man About the House'', which had ended on 7 April 1976, and co-starred Tessa Wyatt as Robin's girlfriend – and later wife – Vicky, and Tony Britton as her father. Richard Gilbert Emery (19 February 19152 January 1983) was an English comedian and actor. His broadcasting career began on radio in the 1950s, and his self-titled television series ran from 1963 to 1981. Life and career Richard Gilbert Emery was born 19 February 1915, in University College Hospital, Bloomsbury, London. His parents were the comedy double act Callan and Emery. They took him on tour when he was only three weeks old and gave him the occasional turn on the stage during his childhood, which was always on the move and disrupted, creating problems for the future but setting the scene for eventually going into showbusiness himself.
