Ann Patrice McDonough
Ann Patrice McDonough (born May 29, 1985) is an American former competitive figure skater. She is the 2002 World Junior champion and the 2003 U.S. national pewter medalist. McDonough retired from competition in 2004. Personal life Ann Patrice McDonough was born in Osan, South Korea and adopted as an infant. Her mother, Julie McDonough, grew up in Korea and wanted to be a skater. She designed skating costumes for her daughter and other competitive skaters. The McDonough family moved to the United States in 1986. She graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 2002, at age 16. Career Competitive In the 1996–97 season, McDonough won the bronze medal at the novice level at the 1997 U.S. Championships. The following season she moved up to Junior, but placed 5th at sectionals and did not qualify for the Nationals. ISU Junior Grand Prix
The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The series was inaugurated in 1997 to complement the senior-level ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. The 2002 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition in the 2001–02 season. It was held at the Hwasan Indoor Ice Rink in Jeonju, South Korea on January 21–27. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The first compulsory dance was the Ravensburger Waltz and the second was the Blues. The 2001 NHK Trophy was the final event of six in the 2001–02 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. Nebelhorn Trophy
The Nebelhorn Trophy is an international senior-level figure skating competition organized by the Deutsche Eislauf-Union and held annually in Oberstdorf, Germany. It became part of the ISU Challenger Series in the 2014–15 season. The competition is named after the Nebelhorn, a nearby mountain. It is usually one of the first international senior competitions of the season. Skaters are entered by their respective national federations and compete in four disciplines: men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing. Gardena Spring Trophy
The Egna Spring Trophy, formerly the Gardena Spring Trophy (through 2016), is an annual international figure skating competition. It is held every spring in Val Gardena in Italy. Medals are awarded in men's and ladies' singles and sometimes in other disciplines. Since its inception in 1990, the event has included a junior-level competition. 1999 United States Figure Skating Championships
The 1999 U.S. Figure Skating Championships took place on February 7–14, 1999 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Medals were awarded in four colors: gold (first), silver (second), bronze (third), and pewter (fourth) in five disciplines – men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, ice dancing, and compulsory figures (mixed) – across three levels: senior, junior, and novice. The event was used to determine the U.S. teams for the 1999 World Championships and the 1999 Four Continents Championships. It was the final U.S. Championships that included a competition in figures, which had appeared at every U.S. nationals since it began. Cheyenne Mountain High School
Cheyenne Mountain High School (CMHS) is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. It is the only high school in Cheyenne Mountain School District 12. Its campus contains several buildings, including a recreation center, library, cafeteria, and an arts building. History In 2004, Cheyenne Mountain School District was designated one of the top 100 school districts in the nation. It is a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School. The district is ranked nationally for its renowned fine arts and athletic programs.
