Anne Dalton (born 22 May 1988) is a camogie player and student. She is an All-Ireland winning medalist 2016, winner of five camogie All Star awards in 2009, 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2017. She played in the 2009 All Ireland camogie final. Camogie All Stars
The Camogie All Star Awards are awarded each November to 15 players who have made outstanding contributions to the Irish stick and ball team sport of camogie in the 15 traditional positions on the field: goalkeeper, three full backs, three half-backs, two midfields, three half-forwards and three full-forwards. They were awarded for the first time in 2003 as an independent initiative sponsored by a hotel group and accorded official status by the Camogie Association in 2004. In 2004 a team of the century was also chosen to commemorate the centenary of the sport. O'Neill's are the present title sponsors of the awards. All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship 2009
The 2009 All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship—known as the Gala All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship for sponsorship reasons— is the high point of the 2009 season in the sport of camogie. It commenced on 20 June 2009 and ended with the final on 13 September 2009. Eight teams competed in the Senior Championship out of twenty-seven who competed overall in the Senior, Intermediate and Junior Championships. The final of the 2009 Senior Championship was contested by Cork—the reigning champions—and Kilkenny at Croke Park on 13 September 2009. The final was available to view worldwide. 2010 Ashbourne Cup
The 2010 Ashbourne Cup inter-collegiate camogie championship was staged at the Cork IT sports complex in Bishopstown, Cork over the weekend of 20–21 February. It was won by Waterford Institute of Technology who defeated University College Cork in the final by two points, a repeat of the pairing and result, though not the margin of victory, of the 1999 final. Player of the tournament was WIT's Katrina Parrock. The final Waterford led 0-3 to 0-2 at half-time and extended their lead before Denise Cronin's 37th-minute goal for UCC, dispossessing Redmond and soloing from halfway and unleashing a shot from just outside the 20m line. WIT saw their lead cut back to a point immediately afterwards but regained the initiative and goalkeeper Kristina Kenneally's late save from Jill Horan secured their victory.
