Anja Augustin
Anja Augustin (born 1974) is a German soprano in opera and concert, oratorio and lied. She appeared in the title roles of musicals, such as ''My Fair Lady'' and ''Evita''. Life Augustin was born in Munich. During her school years, she received training in piano, flute, singing, ballet and jazz dance. Augustin appeared frequently in school and music school projects, among others in Mozart's ''Bastien und Bastienne'' and the rock opera ''Jesus Christ Superstar''. She studied voice at the Leopold Mozart Centre in Augsburg from 1994 to 2000, and at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg with Dorothea Chryst. She attended further classes with Edith Wiens for lied singing. She took masterclasses with , Rudolf Janssen and Brigitte Fassbaender. Peter Lund (born 30 December 1965, in Flensburg) is a German theatre director, playwright, and author, as well as Professor for Acting at Berlin University of the Arts. Staatstheater Mainz
The Staatstheater Mainz (Mainz State Theatre) is a theatre in Mainz, Germany, which is owned and operated by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Situated on the Gutenbergplatz, the complex comprises two theatres which are connected by an underground passage and also by skywalk. Performances of opera, drama and ballet are presented. Its name was Stadttheater Mainz (municipal theatre) until 1989. The main building was constructed between 1829 and 1833 by Georg Moller in Neoclassical style. The construction had been requested by the bourgeoisie of the city of Mainz for decades and cost 280,000 guilders (the city's budget amounted to 300,000 guilders at that time). ''Carmina Burana'' (, Latin for "Songs from Benediktbeuern" 'Buria'' in Latin is a manuscript of 254 poems and dramatic texts mostly from the 11th or 12th century, although some are from the 13th century. The pieces are mostly bawdy, irreverent, and satirical. They were written principally in Medieval Latin, a few in Middle High German and old Arpitan. Some are macaronic, a mixture of Latin and German or French vernacular. Kristjan Järvi (, alternate (U.S.) spelling: Kristian Järvi) (born 13 June 1972, Tallinn) is an Estonian American conductor, composer and producer born in Estonia, younger son of the conductor Neeme Järvi and brother of conductor Paavo Järvi and flutist Maarika Järvi.
