He studied in a boarding school in Kalimpong called Dr. Graham's Homes. He then did his Bachelor of Arts in English literature from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. He acquired his Master's Degree in Mass Communication from the A.J.K. Mass Communication Research Centre, New Delhi. Television career He began his career in television by working in TV18.
