Anime Midwest
Anime Midwest is an annual three-day anime convention held during July at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare and Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. The convention is held in the same location as Anime Central. Programming The convention typically offers anime screenings, artist room, concerts, cosplay masquerade contest, date auction, dealers room, fan panels, formal dance, guest autographs, karaoke, Maid Cafe, rave dances, tabletop gaming, video game tournaments, and workshops. The convention hosts a free ConSweet with free ramen noodles, rice, oatmeal, and soda for attendees. History Anime Midwest moved to the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont, Illinois, for 2013. The convention in 2015 had long registration line waits. Guests Deadlift Lolita, FEMM, Fuki, and Zwei could not attend Anime Midwest in 2019 due to visa issues. Anime
is Traditional animation, hand-drawn and computer animation, computer-generated animation originating from Japan. Joel McDonald (actor)
Joel McDonald is an American voice actor, voice director, and scriptwriter who worked on English versions of anime series at Funimation. Biography Since McDonald was 7, he had a love for acting. He soon started acting in plays at school and church, participating in community theater, secondary school theater and in speech competitions. Later, he acquired a BFA in Acting and Directing from Sam Houston State College. From that point onwards, McDonald took up acting professionally, taking parts in a national kids' theater tour, landing different roles in a couple dozen stage shows. In 2006, after years of stage work in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, McDonald became involved in voice acting and also got into ADR directing and adaptive scriptwriting. Entertainment who provides voices for English versions of Japanese anime series and video games. Biography Caitlin Tiffany Glass was born on November 16, 1981 in Washington D.C., the daughter of Helen Glass. Glass grew up in the San Diego area and attended middle school and high school in Escondido, California. Glass graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts in 2004. Frenchy And The Punk
Frenchy and the Punk are a Euro-American Acoustic Alternative post-punk cabaret duo based in New York City. They were listed in the top 25 duos in May 2012 by Yahoo Music Blog's List of the Day. Steam Powered Giraffe is an American musical project formed in San Diego in 2008, self-described as "a musical act that combines robot pantomime, puppetry, ballet, comedy, projections, and music".
