Anil Gurung
Anil Gurung ( ne, अनिल गुरुङ; born 17 September 1986) is a Nepali footballer who plays as a striker for Brigade Boys Club in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. He took retirement from the national team duty after 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualification – third round match against Philippines on 14 November 2017, which was his 50th cap for the national team. Early life Anil Gurung was born to late Mr. Bil Bahadur Gurung and Mrs. Laxmi Kumari Gurung who is an inhabitant of Malepatan, Pokhara. He completed his school education from Barahi Secondary School, during then, he started playing football from the age of thirteen. He started his career from Sahara club, Pokhara in 2001. Anil's parents believed that sports can't help earn a living and urged him to join the army. Although his family opposed him, he kept playing. The Pokhara Rangasala ( ne, पोखरा रङ्गशाला) is a multi-purpose stadium in Pokhara, Gandaki Province, Nepal. It has a capacity of 16,500 spectators. The 2015 Nepal National League also known as the RedBull National League for sponsorship reasons is the 2nd edition of Nepal National League. The winners Three Star Club received 1 Crore or 10,000,000 rupees ($149,278 USD). Red Bull energy drink is the main sponsor. San Miguel Beer is also a co-sponsor of the competition. Nepal Police Club (formerly known as Mahendra Police Club) is a sports club owned and managed by Nepal Police. The club competes in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League, the top flight of Nepali club football. Pune Football Club was an Indian professional football club based in Pune, Maharashtra. The club has competed in the I-League, then top flight of Indian football league system. The club was one of the most professional clubs in Indian football history, known mainly for their focus on fanfare, professional playing set-up, and focus on youth development. I-League
The I-League (known as Hero I-League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp) is the second-tier men's professional football competition of the Indian football league system. It is currently contested by 12 clubs across the country with the winners getting promotion to play in the premier division, the Indian Super League.
