Barbara Webster-Bourne
Barbara Webster-Bourne is the current Speaker of the Anguilla House of Assembly since 17 July 2020. She also held the post between 27 February 2010 and 11 May 2015 Career She ran on three occasions for the Island Harbour constituency. First for the Anguilla Democratic Party in the 1999 general election and then as an independent candidate in both the 2000 and 2005 general elections. Following the 2010 Anguillan general election, Webster-Bourne was voted in as the Speaker of the House of Assembly on 27 February, the first time a woman had held the post in Anguilla's history. She replaced outgoing speaker David Carty. The Governor of Anguilla, Alistair Harrison, said of her appointment, "I believe that she holds one of the most difficult jobs in Anguilla and I wish her well in her important duties." Palmavon Webster
Palmavon Webster is an Anguillian lawyer and politician. She is a former member of the House of Assembly of Anguilla and leader of the opposition. Webster was born in Island Harbour, Anguilla. She went to the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill in Barbados, graduating with a bachelor's in law in 1984. She obtained a legal education certificate from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica in 1986. From 1986 to 1987, she worked as crown counsel to the attorney general of Anguilla. Since then, she has worked as a lawyer focused on corporate and real estate law at her Webster Law Firm. She was also a long-serving president of the Anguilla Financial Services Association beginning in 2001. Webster first entered politics in 2010, running for the Island Harbour seat in the House of Assembly as a member of the Anguilla Progressive Party. Cardigan Adolphus Connor (born 24 March 1961) is an Anguillan born former English cricketer. Connor was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. Career Connor left his home island of Anguilla in 1979 to pursue a cricketing career in England. Connor was signed by Buckinghamshire in 1979 and remained at the club for five years playing in the Minor Counties Championship. Connor was eventually spotted by former Hampshire cricketer Charlie Knott who recommended him to Hampshire, who signed him for the 1984 season. Connor made his first-class debut for Hampshire against Somerset. This was to the first of Connor's 221 first-class matches for the club. The same year Connor made his List-A debut against Nottinghamshire in the John Player Special League. Connor would go on to play 300 one-day matches for the club. Evalie Bradley nee Hughes (12 October 1954) is an Anguillian politician and member of the House of Assembly of Anguilla. Early life and education Bradley started attending Road Primary School, currently named Adrian T. Hazell Primary, and received elementary education at the Valley Secondary School. After completing her secondary education, she was among the first cohort of Anguillian students to receive a UK Technical Cooperation; she graduated with a diploma on Executive Administrative Secretarial Science at the Sir Authur Lewis Technical College in Saint Lucia. Dee-Ann Kentish-Rogers (born 13 January 1993) is a British-Anguillan politician and the Minister for Education and Social Development of Anguilla.
