Anglesey, Staffordshire
Anglesey is a civil parish in the East Staffordshire district of Staffordshire, England. It covers an area in the south of Burton upon Trent, south of the town centre, around Anglesey Road. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 5,835, increasing to 6,809 at the 2011 census. The housing in Anglesey is mainly late 19th and early 20th century terraced housing although a new housing development is still under construction. Anglesey has several public houses including the New Talbot and The Argyle Arms and a large park with a children's play area, football pitch and a skate park. Anglesey is very much home to a multicultural population. It is a territorial designation which is the lowest tier of local government below districts and counties, or their combined form, the unitary authority. East Staffordshire
East Staffordshire is a local government district with borough status in Staffordshire in England. It has two main towns: Burton upon Trent and Uttoxeter. Villages in the area include Abbots Bromley, Stretton, Tutbury, Barton-under-Needwood, Rolleston on Dove, Hanbury, Kingstone, Marchington, Mayfield and The Heath. The district was formed on 1 April 1974 by the merger of the former county borough of Burton upon Trent with the Urban District of Uttoxeter, and the Rural Districts of Tutbury and Uttoxeter. It received borough status in 1992. Staffordshire (; postal abbreviation Staffs.) is a landlocked county in the West Midlands region of England. It borders Cheshire to the northwest, Derbyshire and Leicestershire to the east, Warwickshire to the southeast, the West Midlands County and Worcestershire to the south and Shropshire to the west. Burton Upon Trent
Burton upon Trent, also known as Burton-on-Trent or simply Burton, is a market town in the borough of East Staffordshire in the county of Staffordshire, England, close to the border with Derbyshire. In United Kingdom Census 2011, 2011, it had a population of 72,299. The demonym for residents of the town is ''Burtonian''. Burton is located south-west of Derby, north-west of Leicester, west-south-west of Nottingham and south of the southern entrance to the Peak District National Park. This is a list of civil parishes in the ceremonial county of Staffordshire, England. There are 195 civil parishes. There is no population data for some of the smallest parishes. The districts of Tamworth, Staffordshire, Tamworth and Stoke-on-Trent are fully unparished. Parts of Cannock Chase District and the boroughs of Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Newcastle under Lyme and Borough of Stafford, Stafford are unparished. These correspond to two separate parts of the former Cannock, Cannock Urban District, the former municipal boroughs of Stafford, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Tamworth as well as the former county borough of Stoke-on-Trent.
