Angie Hulley
Angela Joyce "Angie" Hulley (née Pain, born 8 February 1962) is an English retired female long-distance runner. Representing Great Britain, she ran a personal best of 2:30:51, to finish 10th in the marathon at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Representing England, she won a bronze medal in the marathon at the 1990 Commonwealth Games. Career Born Angela Pain in Bromley, Greater London, she finished sixth for England in the marathon at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 2:37:57. A year later, she ran 2:34:47 for eighth at the 1987 London Marathon and was selected for the 1987 World Championships in Rome, where she finished 11th (and first Briton) in 2:38:12. The British trial race for the Seoul Olympics was the 1988 London Marathon on 17 April. Commonwealth Games
The Commonwealth Games, often referred to as the Friendly Games or simply the Comm Games, are a quadrennial international multi-sport event among athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations. Lisa Martin (runner)
Lisa Frances Ondieki (née O'Dea, formerly Martin; born 12 May 1960) is an Australian former long-distance runner. In the marathon, she won the 1988 Olympic silver medal and two Commonwealth Games gold medals. Other marathon victories included the 1988 Osaka International Ladies Marathon and the 1992 New York City Marathon. She also won the Great North Run Half Marathon three times. Her best time for the marathon of 2:23:51, set in 1988, made her the fourth-fastest female marathon runner in history at the time. Career Born Lisa O'Dea in Gawler, South Australia, she attended Gawler High School. She was originally a 400 m hurdler.
