Angelique Seriese
Angelique Elisabeth Seriese (born 12 July 1968 in Zevenbergen, North Brabant) is a former Dutch judoka, who became world champion in the 78 kg category at the 1995 World Judo Championships. Seriese won a gold medal in the +72 kg division at the 1988 Summer Olympics when women's judo was introduced as a demonstration sport. Ingrid Roelinda Haringa (born 11 July 1964) is a police officer and a former Dutch speed skater and racing cyclist. Biography Skating Ingrid Haringa began her career as a speed skater. During the late eighties she was considered one of the best sprinters in the Netherlands. At the Dutch Championships, she won four gold medals: in the 500 meters in 1987 and 1988 and in the 1000 meters in 1988 and 1989. She participated as part of the Dutch team at the 1988 Olympic Winter Games in Calgary. She finished 15th in the 500 meters and 21st in the 1000 meters. Theodora Elisabeth Gerarda "Anky" van Grunsven (born 2 January 1968) is a Dutch dressage champion who is the only rider to record three successive Olympic wins in the same event. Along with her Olympic successes, she has won numerous medals at the World Equestrian Games (WEG), and is the only rider to have competed at every WEG since they began in 1990. Between 1990 and 2006, she competed at the Games in dressage, but in 2010 she was named as part of the Dutch reining team, marking a major change in discipline. A demonstration sport, or exhibition sport, is a sport which is played to promote it, rather than as part of standard medal competition. This occurs commonly during the Olympic Games, but may also occur at other sporting events. Demonstration sports were officially introduced in the 1912 Summer Olympics, when Sweden decided to include glima, traditional Icelandic wrestling, in the Olympic program, but with its medals not counting as official.
