Angelique Magito
Maria Sofia Angela "Angelique" Magito (1809–1895) was a Swedish opera singer, concert singer, and stage actress. She was one of the best-known artists of the travelling countryside theatres in Sweden and was called the "opera singer of the countryside". Life Angelique Magito was born in Uppsala to an Italian member of the Svea Artillery Regiment, Pietro Magito. She became a student of the Royal Swedish Opera in 1817, where she was a student of Maria Franck and Karl Magnus Craelius. She made her debut at a concert at the German Church in Norrköping in 1826. Magito was a member of a number of travelling theatre companies touring the countryside all over Sweden, most notably that of Erik Djurström and Charlotta Djurström between 1832 and 1850. Svea Artillery Regiment
The Svea Artillery Regiment ( sv, Svea artilleriregemente), designation A 1, was a Swedish Army artillery regiment that traced its origins back to the 17th century. It was disbanded in 1997. The regiment's soldiers were originally recruited from Svealand, and it was also garrisoned there. History The regiment has its origins in the Artillery Regiment raised in 1636. That regiment was split into four new regiments in 1794 of which Svea Artillery Regiment was one. The regiment was given the designation A 1 (1st Artillery Regiment) in 1830. In 1889 three companies garrisoned in Vaxholm became independent and formed Vaxholm Artillery Corps. In 1893 another four companies were split off to form Norrland Artillery Regiment and 2nd Svea Artillery Regiment. Due to this the regiment also changed name to 1st Svea Artillery Regiment. Maria Franck
Maria Kristina Franck (2 February 1771 – 17 April 1847) was a Swedish actress and drama teacher. She was a member of the pioneer generation of the Royal Dramatic Theatre, and belonged to the first stars of the theater. She has been referred to as her country's first native dramatic tragedienne. She was the principal of the Royal Dramatic Training Academy from 1819 to 1823. During her last years on stage, she was known under her name as married, Ruckman. Carl Magnus Craelius (1773-1842), was a Swedish opera singer (tenor) and voice teacher. He was a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music (1822). Erik Wilhelm Djurström (né Strandberg; 22 February 1787, Stockholm – 17 September 1841, Jönköping) was a Swedish stage actor. He was the director of the travelling Djurström theater company, which was one of the best known in the first half of the nineteenth century. Biography Erik Djurström was the son of the lawspeaker Erik Vilhelm Strandberg, and given a good education.
