Angelika Bahmann
Angelika Bahmann (born 1 April 1952 in Plauen) is a former East German slalom canoeist and trainer who competed in the 1970s. She won a gold medal in the K-1 event at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. Bahmann also won six medals in the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with three golds (K-1: 1971, 1977; K-1 team: 1971), two silvers (K-1 team: 1975, 1977) and a bronze (K-1: 1975). Bahmann's son, Christian, competed in slalom canoeing for Germany in the late 1990s and 2000s. Plauen (; Czech language, Czech: ''Plavno'') is, with around 65,000 inhabitants, the fifth-largest city of Saxony, Germany after Leipzig, Dresden, Chemnitz and Zwickau, the second-largest city of the Vogtland after Gera, as well as the largest city in the Saxon Vogtland (German: ''Sächsisches Vogtland''). Christian Bahmann
Christian Bahmann (born 22 July 1981 in Plauen) is a German slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1999 to 2008. He won a gold in the C2 event at the 2005 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Penrith. He also won a silver and a bronze at the European Championships. Bahmann finished fourth in the C2 event at the 2004 Summer Olympics together with former Olympic bronze medalist Michael Senft.
