Angel TV
Angel TV is a television channel in Ghana. It is part of the Angel Broadcasting Network, a media company controlled by Kwaku Oteng, alongside a chain of radio stations. Studios are located in Accra. History The Ghana Police Service raided Angel TV in 2016 after the local subsidiary of MultiChoice, which owns SuperSport, protested that Angel TV was airing Euro 2016 and the 2016 Summer Olympics The 2016 Summer Olympics ( pt, Jogos Olímpicos de Verão de 2016), officially the Games of the XXXI Olympiad ( pt, Jogos da XXXI Olimpíada) and also known as Rio 2016, was an international multi-sport event held from 5 to 21 August 20 ... without permission; SuperSport was the rights holder for Ghana. In August 2021, a fire gutted the studios of Angel TV, damaging all of the channel's equipment. In spite of the building being a near-total loss, the channel returned to air within 24 hours. Ghana Police Service
The Ghana Police Service (GPS) is the main law enforcement agency of Ghana. The service is under the control of the Ghanaian Ministry of the Interior, and employs over 30,000 officers across its 651 stations. Organisational structure The Ghana Police Service operates in twelve divisions: ten covering the ten regions of Ghana, one assigned specifically to the seaport and industrial hub of Tema, and the twelfth being the Railways, Ports and Harbours Division. SuperSport is a South Africa-based group of television channels carried on the DStv & Canal+ satellite platforms as well as GOtv terrestrial platform. It provides sports content in South Africa, Nigeria and many other African countries. SuperSport previously also had operations in Europe in the Scandinavian, Benelux, Italy, Eastern Europe, Greek & Cypriot regions and had sports channels started by FilmNet, being owned by MultiChoice at the time which have since been replaced.
