Angel Maxine Opoku is a Ghanaian musician. Maxine is known as the first openly transgender Ghanaian musician. Early life and education Raised in the coastal city of Tema, Maxine says that her home was "deeply religious and musical" and was where she took to music at a young age. She attended the Ghana Secondary School in Koforidua for her senior high school education and later the University of Ghana for a food safety and nutrition degree. She later attended the Regional Maritime University. Angel grew up in the coastal city of Tema, as the daughter of a reverend and a prophetess. Music career Angel started her music career in 2020 with her first single titled ''Sweetness (D3d33d3)''. She later went on to release ''Wo Fie'' which featured Wanlov the Kubolor and Sister Deborah and then ''Kill The Bill'' in 2021. Ghana Senior High School, Koforidua, popularly known as GHANASS, is a high school in Koforidua. It was preceded by the establishment of two colleges that ultimately combined into what is currently known as ''The Beacon of the East'' History In 1943, Fred Addae and Francis Adjei Tetebo established a school with 16 boys called Phoenix College in a temporary building. By 1950, an increase in students necessitated a new location which today houses the Normal Technical Institute, Koforidua. The change in location brought in its wake a change in the school's name from Phoenix College to Christ College. The location of the premises had to change again after some time to respond to the increasing student population. The Regional Maritime University (RMU) is an international tertiary institution and private university in Accra, Ghana. It attained full university status on 25 October 2007 and was launched as such by John Agyekum Kufuor, former President of the Republic of Ghana. It was first called Regional Maritime Academy. Emmanuel Owusu-Bonsu, known by his stage name Wanlov the Kubolor (born September 8, 1980, in Ploiești, Romania) is a Ghanaian-Romanian musician and film director born to an Akan father and a Romanian mother. Kubolor is a Ga word that essentially means truant, but can be understood to be a wanderer or vagabond. He is the brother of the television show host, model, and musician Deborah Owusu-Bonsu.
