''Angaria'' is a genus of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Angariidae. ''Angaria'' is the only genus in the family Angariidae. Taxonomy According to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005, ''Angaria'' belongs in the subfamily Angariinae, within the family Turbinidae. Williams ''et al.'' ''Angaria loebbeckei'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Angariidae. It was discovered and described in 2022 based on only four specimens, which are part of both private and museum collections. In honour of the shell collector Theodor Löbbecke, who would have celebrated its 200th birthday in 2021, the new species was named after him.
