Andy Wilson (English Footballer)
Andrew Wilson (born 27 September 1940) is an English former professional footballer who scored 28 goals from 229 goals in the Football League. A winger, he played for Sheffield United, Scunthorpe United, Doncaster Rovers, Chesterfield and Aldershot. Career Wilson was born in Rotherham, Yorkshire. He began his career in the Football League with Sheffield United, joining Scunthorpe United of the Fourth Division in June 1961. He stayed with the club for four seasons, and played more than 100 games, before moving to Doncaster Rovers in 1965 on a free transfer. After a year he moved on to Chesterfield, and after a further two years signed for Aldershot. Rotherham
Rotherham () is a large minster and market town in South Yorkshire, England. The town takes its name from the River Rother which then merges with the River Don. The River Don then flows through the town centre. It is the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham. Non-League football describes football leagues played outside the top leagues of a country. Usually, it describes leagues which are not fully professional. The term is primarily used for football in England, where it is specifically used to describe all football played at levels below those of the Premier League (20 clubs) and the three divisions of the English Football League (EFL; 72 clubs).
