Andy Vidak
James Andrew Vidak (born November 13, 1965) is an American politician. A Republican Party (United States), Republican, he served in the California State Senate, representing the California's 14th State Senate district, 14th Senate District, which encompasses Kings County, California, Kings County, as well portions of Fresno County, Kern County, and Tulare County in California's Central Valley (California), Central Valley. From 2013 to 2014, Vidak represented the California's 16th State Senate district, 16th Senate District. Vidak was first elected to the State Senate in a 2013 special election after the resignation of former State Senator Michael Rubio, and was re-elected in 2014. He sought re-election in 2018, but was defeated by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Melissa Hurtado.
