Andrés Gómez (footballer)
Carlos Andrés Gómez Hinestroza (born 12 September 2002) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. Career A right winger, his professional debut for Millonarios shirt came on 14 November 2021 in a game against Alianza Petrolera. His first Millonarios goal was on 1 May 2022 against Patriotas Boyacá. In September 2022 Gomez signed a new contract with the club lasting into 2025. His form helped his club qualify for the Copa Libertadores by winning the 2022 Copa Colombia. Goméz was thought to be moving to Brazil in December 2022 to Red Bull Bragantino but the transfer fell through repeatedly due to disagreements over the financial structure of the deal. On 10 January 2023, Gómez signed with Major League Soccer side Real Salt Lake on a five-year deal. Quibdó
Quibdó () is the capital city of Chocó Department, in Western Colombia, and is located on the Atrato River. The municipality of Quibdó has an area of 3,337.5 km² and a population of 129,237, predominantly Afro Colombian, including Zambo Colombians. 2022 Copa Colombia
The 2022 Copa Colombia, officially the Copa BetPlay Dimayor 2022 for sponsorship reasons, was the 20th edition of the Copa Colombia, the national cup competition for clubs affiliated to División Mayor del Fútbol Profesional Colombiano, DIMAYOR, the governing body of professional club football in Colombia. The tournament, which was contested by 35 teams, began on 9 February 2022 and ended on 2 November 2022. Millonarios F.C., Millonarios won their third title in the competition, after beating Atlético Junior, Junior in the double-legged final by a 2–1 aggregate score. As Copa Colombia champions, Millonarios qualified for the 2023 Copa Libertadores. The Copa Colombia ( en, Colombia Cup, link=yes); officially known as Copa BetPlay Dimayor is an annual football tournament in Colombia. It is contested by the 36 professional clubs of DIMAYOR and is the nation's domestic cup competition, equivalent to the FA Cup in England or the Copa del Rey in Spain. The Copa Colombia was played for the first time in 1950, and it has been played consecutively since its revival in 2008. The most successful club is Atlético Nacional, with four titles. Red Bull Bragantino, commonly known as Bragantino, is a Brazilian football club based in Bragança Paulista, São Paulo. It competes in the Série A, the top tier of the Brazilian football league system, as well as in the Campeonato Paulista Série A1, the highest level of the São Paulo state football league. The club was known as Clube Atlético Bragantino, before club administration was taken over by Red Bull GmbH in 2020 who renamed the club and changed its colours from its traditional black and white to red and white. The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as the Copa Libertadores de América ( pt, Copa Libertadores da América), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football. The tournament is named after the ''Libertadores'' (Spanish and Portuguese for ''liberators''), the leaders of the Latin American wars of independence, so a literal translation of its former name into English is "''America's Liberators Cup''". The competition has had several formats over its lifetime. Initially, only the champions of the South American leagues participated. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. Patriotas Boyacá
Patriotas Boyacá, also known as Patriotas, is a professional Colombian football team based in Tunja, that currently plays in the Categoría Primera B. They play their home games at the La Independencia stadium. History Patriotas was founded in 2003 by the then-governor of Boyacá Miguel Ángel Bermúdez, together with the then Coldeportes chairman and the owners of hardware business G&J. In its first year in the Primera B, the club reached the semifinals, where it was eliminated by Bogotá Chicó. In 2004 the team again advanced to the semifinals, where the team played against Deportivo Antioquia, Centauros Villavicencio and Expreso Rojo, but did not qualify.
