Andrés Arauz
Andrés Arauz Galarza (born 6 February 1985) is an Ecuadorian politician and economist. He was a candidate for President in the 2021 election. Background Andrés Arauz started his career as a public servant in 2009 at the Central Bank of Ecuador. He was general director of banking at the Central Bank from 2011 to 2013. He was later appointed deputy minister of planning and general director of national procurement. In March 2015, he was appointed Minister of Knowledge and Human Talent in the government of Rafael Correa, replacing Guillaume Long. From this position he led the coordination and supervision of the execution of the politics, programs, and projects of the Ministries of Education, Culture, Higher Education, Science, and Technology. Among the outcomes of these projects were improved technological independence in the country, the use of free software, and the development of free knowledge. Citizen Revolution Movement
The Citizen Revolution Movement ( es, Movimiento Revolución Ciudadana) is a Democratic socialism, democratic socialist political party in Ecuador formed by supporters of former President Rafael Correa who distanced themselves from Correa's former PAIS Alliance party during the presidency of Lenín Moreno. The party takes its name from The Citizens' Revolution, the term used to refer to the project of building a new society. History The party has its origins in early January 2018, as former Ecuadorian President and PAIS leader Rafael Correa left the ruling party over disagreement with the new direction of the party under Lenín Moreno. Raúl Vallejo Suárez (born 25 August 1996) is a Spanish footballer who plays for CA Bembibre as a central midfielder. Club career Born in León, Vallejo finished his formation with CD Fútbol Peña, as a forward. In 2015 he signed for Tercera División side CD La Virgen del Camino, moving to the central midfielder role during the pre-season; he made his senior debut on 23 August of that year, starting in a 0–1 away loss against Villaralbo CF. Vallejo scored his first senior goal on 31 October 2015, netting the first in a 4–1 home routing of Ciudad Rodrigo CF. Ecuadorians ( es, ecuatorianos) are people identified with the South American country of Ecuador. This connection may be residential, legal, historical or cultural. For most Ecuadorians, several (or all) of these connections exist and are collectively the source of their being ''Ecuadorian''.
