André Vermeulen
André Leopold Adiel Vermeulen (born 25 October 1955 in Bruges) is a Belgian-Flemish journalist and television personality for VRT. Between 1991 and 2013, Vermeulen following Luc Appermont had been the Flemish commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest. Due to unknown reasons in 1996, Vermeulen was unable to commentate on the 1996 Contest with Michel Follet and Johan Verstreken filling in, however returning to commentate on the 1997 Contest, since the 1998 Contest Vermeulen has co-commentated the event with other television presenters including Bart Peeters and Tom De Cock. Eurovision Song Contest 2014
The Eurovision Song Contest 2014 was the 59th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, following the country's victory at the with the song "Only Teardrops" by Emmelie de Forest. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), the contest was held at B&W Hallerne, and consisted of two semi-finals on 6 and 8 May, and a final on 10 May 2014. VRT NWS Journaal (formerly Het Journaal) is the main news program of the VRT, broadcast daily on the channels één and Canvas. The first edition of ''Het Journaal'' was broadcast on 31 October 1953, the day that Flemish television began. Initially, ''Het Journaal'' was a small operation, with few staff; nowadays, there are dozens of journalists, and many other employees, such as directors, producers and technicians. Broadcasts ''VRT NWS Journaal'' is typically broadcast four times a day on één: 1pm, 6pm, 7pm, and the late news, which usually airs at around 10:45pm. Peter Van De Veire
Peter Van de Veire (born Eeklo, Belgium, 1 December 1971) is a well-known radio personality in Flanders. Early life Van de Veire grew up in the town of Waarschoot. After attaining a degree in communications management, he briefly sold vacuum cleaners door-to-door. Media career In 1993 Van de Veire started working for a local television station before moving on to host Studio.KET on the children's channel Ketnet. In 1999 he became host of ''De Afrekening'', a popular chart show on the youth-oriented channel Studio Brussel.
