Andris Džeriņš
Andris Džeriņš (born February 14, 1988 in Jēkabpils) is a Latvian professional ice hockey player, who currently plays for Steinbach Black Wings 1992 in the ICE Hockey League (ICEHL). He previously played two seasons of North American junior hockey with the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League. He has also spent two seasons in the Czech Extraliga with Mountfield HK and 10 seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with Dinamo Riga Dinamo Riga ( lv, Rīgas Dinamo) is a professional ice hockey team based in Riga, Latvia. Jēkabpils
Jēkabpils (; german: Jakobstadt; pl, Jakubów) is a state city in Jēkabpils Municipality in southeastern Latvia roughly halfway between Riga and Daugavpils and spanning the Daugava River. Historic Jēkabpils lies on the left bank, in Selonia while historic Krustpils (german: Kreutzburg, links=no) lies on the right bank, in Latgale. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Typically, a player on the team attempting to score shoots the puck with their stick towards the goal net opening, and a player on the opposing team called a goaltender tries to block the shot to prevent a goal from being scored against their team. 2007–08 OHL Season
The 2007–08 OHL season was the 28th season of the Ontario Hockey League. Twenty teams played 68 games each during the schedule, that started on September 19, 2007, and concluded on March 16, 2008. The Mississauga IceDogs relocated to the Gatorade Garden City Complex in downtown St. Catharines after getting approval of the team's sale to Bill Burke by the Board of Governors on June 5, 2007. The team was renamed the Niagara IceDogs. The Toronto St. Michael's Majors replaced the IceDogs in the Hershey Centre, renaming themselves, the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors. U20 SM-sarja
The U20 SM-sarja ('Under-20 Finnish Championship Series') is the premier junior men’s ice hockey league in Finland. It was previously known as the A-nuorten SM-sarja ('Junior A Finnish Championship Series') during 1945 to 1991 and the Nuorten SM-liiga ('Junior Finnish Championship League') during 1991 to 2020. The league was founded by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association in 1945 and a Finnish Champion in men’s under-20 ice hockey has been named annually since the league’s inaugural season – with the exception of the 2019–20 season, in which the playoffs were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lukko
Rauman Lukko (Finnish for "lock") is a Finnish sports club based in Rauma, Finland, best known for its men’s professional ice hockey team. The club was founded as Rauma Woodin Lukko in 1936. The representative team currently plays in the Finnish Liiga, the premier men’s professional ice hockey league in Finland. Stocksunds IF
Stocksunds Idrottsförening, ''Stocksunds IF'', ''SIF'', is a Swedish sportsclub in Stocksund, just north of Stockholm. The club was founded on 3 January 1935 and has had sections for bandy, ice hockey, association football, figure skating, handball, and floorball. In 2017, only the football section is active. The Belarusian Extraleague (abbreviated BHL, also known as the Belarusian Open Championship), officially formed in 2006, is the top ice hockey league in Belarus. In its past, it has switched several times between being and not being an open league (in reference to allowing foreign teams), but for the 2008–2009 season, the Belarus Ice Hockey Federation decided to open the Belarusian Extraleague, the Belarusian Premier League and the Belarusian junior leagues. HK Rīga 2000
HK Riga 2000 was an ice hockey team based in Riga, Latvia. The team had played in the LHL since it was founded. In 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons the club also iced a team in the Belarusian Hockey League, and in 2005-06 finished 3rd. HK Riga 2000 was first foreign team to finish in top three of Belarusian Open Championship. The club has also played several years in the Continental Cup, winning silver in 2005-06 and 2007-08. Latvijas Berzs Riga is an ice hockey team in Riga, Latvia. They play in the Latvian Hockey League, and formerly played in the Pervaya Liga. History In the early 1960s was in the furniture manufacturing company, Latvijas Bērzs (today Latvijas Finieris), founded an ice hockey team. They participated first participated the Latvian SSR Championship in 1962.
