Andrew Oldcorn
Andrew Oldcorn (born 31 March 1960) is a Scottish professional golfer. Oldcorn was born in Bolton, Lancashire, England. He was raised in Edinburgh, and represents Scotland. He represented England as an amateur and won the English Amateur in 1982, turning professional after playing for Great Britain & Ireland in the 1983 Walker Cup. Oldcorn was medalist at the European Tour final Qualifying School in 1983. He had a steady start to his career on tour before being struck down with ME (also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) in the early 1990s. He returned to form in 1993, to claim his first tour victory in the Turespana Masters Open de Andalucia. Away from the tour he also won the Sunderland of Scotland Masters. Several solid years followed along with another title, the 1995 DHL Jersey Open. Bolton
Bolton (, locally ) is a large town in Greater Manchester in North West England, formerly a part of Lancashire. A former mill town, Bolton has been a production centre for textiles since Flemish people, Flemish weavers settled in the area in the 14th century, introducing a wool and cotton-weaving tradition. ''The Independent'' is a British online newspaper. It was established in 1986 as a national morning printed paper. Gordon Brand Jnr
Gordon Brand Jnr (19 August 1958 – 31 July 2019) was a Scottish professional golfer. He played on the European Tour, winning eight times, and later the European Senior Tour, winning twice. He played in the 1979 Walker Cup and played twice in the Ryder Cup, in 1987 and 1989. Early life and amateur career Brand was born in Kirkcaldy. His father, Gordon Brand Snr, was the club professional at Knowle Golf Club in Bristol from 1969 to 2001. Brand had a successful amateur career and played for Great Britain and Ireland in the 1979 Walker Cup and in the Eisenhower Trophy in 1978 and 1980. De Vere Club PGA Seniors Championship
The PGA Seniors Championship is a European Senior Tour golf tournament for men aged fifty and above. It was founded in 1957 and became part of the European Senior Tour on its founding in 1992. It was not held in 2016 or 2017 but returned in 2018 as the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship. It is the oldest important seniors tournament in Europe and, together with the Senior Open Championship, one of only two current events that predate the founding of the European Senior Tour in 1992. The PGA Seniors Championship and the Senior Open Championship are also the only two Europe-based events on the European Senior Tour that are played over 72 holes. The Sunderland of Scotland Masters was a golf tournament that was played from 1985 to 2002. It was a 72-hole stroke-play event on the "Tartan Tour", the PGA in Scotland's schedule. Ángel Cabrera
Ángel Cabrera (; born 12 September 1969) is an Argentine professional golfer who has played on both the European Tour and PGA Tour. He is known affectionately as ''"El Pato"'' in Spanish ''("The Duck")'' for his waddling gait. He is a two-time major champion, with wins at the U.S. Open in 2007 and the Masters in 2009; he was the first (and still only as of 2021) Argentine and South American to win either. The 2001 European Tour was the 30th official season of golf tournaments known as the PGA European Tour. Dean Robertson
Dean Robertson (born 11 July 1970) is a Scottish professional golfer. Robertson was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. He attended Midland College in Texas, United States on a golf scholarship. He won several amateur titles in Scotland and represented Great Britain and Ireland in the Walker Cup before turning professional in 1993. Robertson gained his European Tour card at his second visit to the qualifying school in 1994. He finished in the top hundred on the European Tour Order of Merit every season from 1995 to 2001, before he began to suffer from clinical depression. He came back in 2004 on a medical exemption, and regained his European Tour card for the following season at qualifying school. The 1995 European Tour, titled as the 1995 Volvo Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the 24th official season of golf tournaments known as the PGA European Tour. The 1995 season marked the start of co-sanctioning arrangements with other tours, with the addition of the Southern Africa Tour's South African PGA Championship to the European Tour schedule.
