Andrew Jarrett
Andrew Jarrett (born 9 January 1958) is a former professional tennis player from the United Kingdom. Jarrett was educated at Millfield from 1969 to 1975. He enjoyed most of his tennis success while playing doubles. During his career he won one doubles title. He achieved a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 85 in 1983. Jarrett was made tournament referee at Wimbledon in 2006 after the retirement of Alan Mills. He held this title until the 2019 Wimbledon Finals after holding the post for 14 years. Yannick Noah (; born 18 May 1960) is a French former professional tennis player and singer. Ilie Theodoriu Năstase (, born 19 July 1946) is a former World No. 1 Romanian tennis player. He was ranked world No. 1 in singles from 23 August 1973 to 2 June 1974, and was the first man to hold the top position on the computerized ATP rankings. The Paris Masters is an annual tennis tournament for male professional players held in Paris, France. It is played indoors at the AccorHotels Arena, in the neighborhood of Bercy. The event is part of the ATP Tour Masters 1000 on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour. The tournament evolved from the French Covered Court Championships. In the open era it was held at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin until 1982. In 1989 it was upgraded to become one of the Grand Prix Tour (Grand Prix Super Series). The event is usually the final tournament on the tour before the season-ending ATP Finals. Craig Edwards (tennis)
Craig Edwards (born May 19, 1955) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Biography Edwards, a relative late comer to tennis, changed his approach to the sport after attending a basketball camp run by John Wooden, which he attended to learn things that he could put towards his tennis. He was the No. 1 player at Ventura High School for two and a half years, then in 1974 began as a freshman at the University of Redlands. An All-American at Redlands in 1973-74 and 1974-75, he later went to Pepperdine University. During the 1980s, Edwards competed professionally on the Grand Prix tennis circuit, primarily in doubles events. His regular partner was Eddie Edwards, a South African player of no relation, who played with him at Pepperdine. Eddie Edwards (born 3 July 1956) is a retired professional tour tennis player. The right-handed Edwards was a tour regular from the mid-1970s to the end of 1987. He played in singles a total of 112 grand prix (including World Championship Tennis events) and 24 grand slam tournaments. His best results were on grass, reaching the fourth round of Wimbledon in 1986 and winning the Adelaide grand prix event in 1985. Karl Meiler (30 April 1949 – 17 April 2014) was a tennis player from West Germany who was active in the 1970s and 1980s. Meiler won four singles (1972, Buenos Aires; 1974, Omaha and Calgary; 1977, Manila) and 17 doubles titles during his professional career. Klaus Eberhard (born 15 September 1957) is a former professional tennis player from West Germany. Career Early in his career, Eberhard had his best performances in his home country. He was quarterfinalist at the Stuttgart Outdoor tournament in 1978 and reached the quarter-finals at Berlin the following year. The West German defeated Peter Elter to make second round of the 1978 French Open. In 1980, he reached the semifinals of the BMW Open in Munich and again made the second round of the French Open, beating Spaniard José López-Maeso. He took part in a Davis Cup tie for the West German team that year, playing two singles rubbers against Swedish players Björn Borg and Kjell Johansson, which he both lost.
