Andrew Jacobson
Andrew Jacobson (born September 24, 1985) is a retired American professional soccer player who played as a midfielder. Early life Jacobson is Jewish and was born in Fort Myers, Florida. He attended Gunn High School, where he was named 2003 Central Coast Section Player of the Year, and played college soccer at UC Berkeley from 2003 to 2006, where he was named to the all Pac-10 team three times. Professional career Jacobson was the 24th overall pick in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft and the first pick by D.C. United. However, instead of playing in MLS, Jacobson signed a contract with Lorient of France’s Ligue 1. However, injuries limited his playing time, and he never played a first team game for ''Les Merlus''. Despite trialling with several clubs in Europe, Jacobson returned to MLS in 2009 and was allocated to the team which originally drafted him, D.C. United. David Arturo Ferreira Rico (born August 9, 1979) is a Colombian former footballer. Career Professional Ferreira began his professional career in 1997 with the Colombian Primera B club Expresso Rojo. By 1999 he had joined Real Cartagena, helping them win a league title. In 2000, he joined América de Cali in the first division, helping the team win three consecutive championships from 2000 to 2002 before moving to Brazilian club Atletico Paranaense in 2005. During his stay with Atletico Paranaense, from 2005 to 2008, he appeared in 179 games, starting in 175 of them while scoring 38 goals and recording 42 assists. The United States national futsal team represents the United States at international competitions. It is governed by the United States Soccer Federation and affiliated with CONCACAF. The U.S. Futsal Federation was founded in 1981 and the first international futsal match played by the U.S. National Futsal Team was in May 1984 in Nanaimo, Canada where the United States won, 6–5. Houston Dynamo FC (formerly officially, but still commonly, called the Houston Dynamo) is an American professional soccer club based in Houston.
