Andres Noormets
Andres Noormets (born 1 October 1963 in Paide) is an Estonian theatre actor, director and theatre pedagogue. 1988 he graduated from Tallinn State Conservatory Stage Art Department. Besides theatre roles he has also played on several films and television series (e.g. '' Wikmani poisid'', 1995). Paide is a town in Estonia and the capital of Järva County, one of the 15 counties of Estonia. Tallinn State Conservatory
The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (''Eesti Muusika- ja Teatriakadeemia'') began as a mixed choir of the Estonia Society Musical Department (EMD) on the eve of World War I. The assembly of the Estonia Society created the Tallinn Higher Music School on November 17, 1918. The opening ceremony took place on September 28, 1919. In 1923 the educational institution was renamed the Tallinn Conservatoire. In 1938 the State Drama School was opened. In 1993 the school was renamed the “Estonian Academy of Music”. ''Wikmani poisid'' (lit. ''Wikman Boys'') is a 1995-year television drama serial about the Wikman Private Gymnasium students from 1937 till their mobilization in 1944. The series is based on a 1988 novel '' Wikmani poisid'' by Jaan Kross. The series were first aired in 1995 on Estonia's Eesti Televisioon. Each episode runs at approximately 30 minutes.
