Andrei Rogozine
Andrei Rogozine (russian: Андрей Рогозин; born 29 January 1993) is a Canadian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2011 World Junior champion, 2010 JGP Final bronze medallist, and 2013 Canadian national bronze medallist. Personal life Andrei Rogozine was born January 29, 1993, in Moscow, Russia. His family moved to Canada when he was five. He attended Richmond Green Secondary School in Richmond Hill, Ontario. He moved to Newmarket, Ontario, in 2011 and now lives in Ottawa. Career Rogozine started skating when he was six years old, instructed by Inga Zusev. He began learning at the Forest Hill Skating Club. He was inspired by Alexei Yagudin, the 2002 Olympic champion. Rogozine debuted on the ISU Junior Grand Prix in the 2007–08 season. Andrei Berezintsev joined Zusev as his coach around 2009. Courchevel
Courchevel () is a French Alps ski resort. It is a part of Les Trois Vallées, the largest linked ski areas in the world. Courchevel also refers to the towns of Courchevel 1300 (Le Praz), Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 (Moriond), and Courchevel 1850, which are named for their altitudes in metres. On 1 January 2017, Saint-Bon-Tarentaise (1100) merged into the new commune Courchevel. The resort centre of Courchevel is at 1,747 metres (5,732 ft). The name Courchevel 1850 was chosen for marketing reasons to compete with rival ski resort Val d'Isère. It is the Jardin Alpin area of Courchevel 1850 rather than the centre which is located at 1,850 metres (6,070 ft). The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Richmond Green Secondary School
Richmond Green Secondary School is a public secondary school in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. The school is located on Leslie Street, just north of Elgin Mills Road. The school is managed by the York Region District School Board. The school is a large, three-story building attached to the Richmond Green Public Library, which also serves as a school library. It is named after the adjacent Richmond Green park. The 2013 Canadian Figure Skating Championships were held from January 13 to 20, 2013 at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The event determined the national champions of Canada and was organized by Skate Canada, the nation's figure skating governing body. Figure Skater
Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. It was the first winter sport to be included in the Olympic Games, when contested at the 1908 Olympics in London. 2011 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2011 World Junior Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition during the 2010–11 season. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event crowned the World Junior Champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The event took place in Gangneung, South Korea from 28 February to 6 March 2011. It was a qualification event for the figure skating events at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics. Qualification The competition was open to skaters from ISU Member Nations who were at least 13 but not 19—or 21 for male pair skaters and ice dancers—before July 1, 2010 in their place of birth.
