Andrea Urrutia Puente Arnao (born 31 May 1997) is a Peruvian female volleyball player. She is part of the Peru women's national volleyball team. Career She participated in the 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix. On club level she played for Club Univ. San Martin De Porres in 2014. She won the Best Blocker award in the 2014 U23 Pan-American Cup. Universidad de San Martín de Porres is a women's volleyball club based in Lima, Peru champions of the Peruvian League in 2014 and 2015 and bronze medalists in the 2015 South American Championship. The club takes its name from the private university Universidad de San Martín de Porres. History 2012 After announcing the retirement of the Universidad de San Martín de Porres football club from the National football National Championship, the club intended to focus in other sports, strengthening the volleyball club among them. At the end of the 2011–12 season, the team claimed second place in the championship, being defeated by Géminis in the final series. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. 2017 Bolivarian Games
The 2017 Bolivarian Games, officially the XVIII Bolivarian Games, was an international multi-sport event that was held from 11–25 November 2017, in Santa Marta, Colombia. Host city selection Ciudad Bolivar (Venezuela) and Santa Marta (Colombia) were the cities which decided to bid for hosting the Games. 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix
The 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 22nd edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 28 countries from 25 July to 24 August 2014. The Group 1 final round was held in Tokyo, Japan. The Brazilian star team won the tournament for the tenth time, the second consecutive victory. The 2014 Women's U23 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the second edition of the bi-annual volleyball, women's volleyball tournament, played by eight countries from September 7–13, 2013 in Ica, Peru, Ica and Chincha Alta, Peru.
