Andrea Ferrante (born 16 August 1968, Palermo, Italy) is an Italian composer whose music is performed throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas and published by Videoradio and Rai Trade Labels, Edizioni Carrara and Edizioni Simeoli. His compositional activity, as shown in the essay ''Backstage of the creative act'', the music psychologist Rosa Alba Gambino, can be divided into two phases: the first (which ends with the composition of the holy ''La sposa del vento'' for soloists, chorus and orchestra staged in Palermo in 2000 by Operalaboratorio) in which Andrea Ferrante investigates the Mediterranean sounds of his land through the filter of the contemporary, and the second (after ten years of silence, and in collaboration with his favourite pianist Domenico Piccichè) in which the mature composer's own language is inspired by multiculturalism and the concept of emotion / enjoyment of music that cast its production outside Europe. A composer is a person who writes music. The term is especially used to indicate composers of Western classical music, or those who are composers by occupation. Domenico Picciché () (born 18 July 1970), is an Italian pianist, composer and jurist. Biography Originary from Alcamo, in the Province of Trapani, he started the study of piano when aged only six and got his secondary school diploma, with honours, at the Liceo Scientifico ''Giuseppe Ferro'' in Alcamo. Giovanni Sollima
Giovanni Sollima (born 24 October 1962 in Palermo, Sicily, Italy) is an Italian composer and cellist. He was born into a family of musicians and studied cello with Giovanni Perriera and composition with his father, Eliodoro Sollima, at the Conservatorio di Palermo, where he graduated with highest honors. He later studied with Antonio Janigro and Milko Kelemen at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart and at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg. Boris Claudio "Lalo" Schifrin (born June 21, 1932) is an Argentine-American pianist, composer, arranger and conductor.
