Andrea Celesti
Andrea Celesti (1637–1712) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, working in Venice. His style gravitated over the years from a turgid and academic weightiness to a lighter, looser brushstroke. Biography Celesti was born in Venice and is buried in Toscolano. He first trained with Matteo Ponzoni, then with Sebastiano Mazzoni. During his early years (1659–1669) he worked in Venice, both in sundry labors for Doge's palace, and frescoes for the main salon of the ''Palazzo Erizzo''. In 1676, he was painted doge Nicolò Sagredo’s portrait for the ''Sala dello Scrutinio'' in Ducal Palace. For the same site, in 1680, he painted canvases of ''Moses destroys the golden calf''. In 1681, he was awarded the title of ''Cavalieri'' by Doge Alvise Contarini. In 1684, he helped in the decoration of ''San Zaccaria''. Felicia Hemans
Felicia Dorothea Hemans (25 September 1793 – 16 May 1835) was an English poet (who identified as Welsh by adoption). Two of her opening lines, "The boy stood on the burning deck" and "The stately homes of England", have acquired classic status. Early life and education Felicia Dorothea Browne was the daughter of George Browne, who worked for his father-in-law's wine importing business and succeeded him as Tuscan and imperial consul in Liverpool, and Felicity, daughter of Benedict Paul Wagner (1718–1806), wine importer at 9 Wolstenholme Square, Liverpool and Venetian consul for that city. Hemans was the fourth of six children (three boys and three girls) to survive infancy. Stefano Celesti (active after 1635) was an Italian painter of the late-Baroque, active mainly in Venice and territories on the mainland. He was born in Venice (or possibly Istria), the son of the Baroque Venetian painter Andrea Celesti. He was active in Istria, Brescia, and near Lago di Garda. In 1638 he painted a ''St Mark'' for the Cathedral of Koper. Two years later, he executed the portrait of the priest Pasquale da Rovigno for the Franciscan Refectory in the monastery of Sant'Anna in the same town, now in Gemona. In 1659, he painted a ''Madonna del Carmelo'' for the parish church of Verbosca . He worked with Pietro Bellotto in Koper, painting a ''Mystery of the Rosary'' and ''Last Supper''. Angelo Trevisani (1669 – after 1753) was an Italian painter of the late- Baroque, active mainly in Venice. He was born in Venice (or possibly Capodistria), the younger brother of Francesco Trevisani who was born in Capodistria, and who painted mainly in Rome under the patronage of Cardinal Ottoboni. Angelo was a pupil of Andrea Celesti. He also painted for the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Pilastrello in Lendinara. He was influenced by Antonio Balestra. In Italian, it is Angelo Trevisanute.
