Anders Persson (Swedish Air Force Officer)
Brigadier General Per ''Anders'' Rolfson Persson (born 18 March 1968) is a Swedish Air Force officer. Since August 2022, Persson served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Swedish Defence University. Early life Persson was born on 18 March 1968 in Sollentuna, Sweden. He studied mechanics at the Chalmers University of Technology from 1989 to 1990 and attended the Swedish Air Force Flying School in Ljungbyhed from 1990 to 1991. Career Persson attended the Swedish Air Force Officers’ College (''Flygvapnets officershögskola'') from 1991 to 1992 and the Royal Swedish Air Force Staff College (''Flygvapnets krigshögskola'') from 1995 to 1998. Sollentuna Municipality
Sollentuna Municipality ( ) is a municipality in Stockholm County in east-central Sweden, north of Stockholm. Its seat of local government is located in Tureberg, which is a part of Sollentuna urban area. Geography Sollentuna borders the municipalities of Solna, Sundbyberg, Stockholm, Järfälla, Upplands Väsby, Täby and Danderyd in clockwise order starting to the south. Air Staff (Sweden)
Air Staff ( sv, Flygstaben, FS) is the staff of the Chief of the Swedish Air Force. It was officially established in 1936 as a result of the Defence Act of 1936 and would handle matters of a general nature. The Air Staff's duties included, among other things to assist the Chief of the Air Force with leadership of the Air Force's mobilization, training, tactics, organization, equipment and personnel to the extent that such activity was not directly related to operational activities, which was then handled by the Defence Staff. In 1994, the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters took over the Air Staff's duties. In 2019, the Air Force Staff was re-established, now located in Uppsala Garrison. Jämtland Wing
Jämtland Wing ( sv, Jämtlands flygflottilj), also F 4 Frösön, or simply F 4, is a former Swedish Air Force wing with the main base located at Åre Östersund Airport outside Östersund on Frösön in the middle of Sweden. History The airbase was set up in 1926 as the 4th Air Corps at the old base of Jämtland Ranger Regiment at ''Frösö läger'' (Frösö camp). The main task was to perform reconnaissance for army units. In 1930, the duties were extended to bombing with B 4 and later B 5 planes. In 1936, the Flying Corps was reorganized as an own branch (the Air Force) and the unit was renamed Jämtlands Flygflottilj (Jämtland Wing). In 1947, the wing was yet again redesigned as a fighter wing and received surplus P-51 Mustangs designated as J 26. These were only kept for five years until they were replaced by J 28A jets in 1952. Svea Artillery Regiment
The Svea Artillery Regiment ( sv, Svea artilleriregemente), designation A 1, was a Swedish Army artillery regiment that traced its origins back to the 17th century. It was disbanded in 1997. The regiment's soldiers were originally recruited from Svealand, and it was also garrisoned there. History The regiment has its origins in the Artillery Regiment raised in 1636. That regiment was split into four new regiments in 1794 of which Svea Artillery Regiment was one. The regiment was given the designation A 1 (1st Artillery Regiment) in 1830. In 1889 three companies garrisoned in Vaxholm became independent and formed Vaxholm Artillery Corps. In 1893 another four companies were split off to form Norrland Artillery Regiment and 2nd Svea Artillery Regiment. Due to this the regiment also changed name to 1st Svea Artillery Regiment.
