''And Soon the Darkness'' is a 1970 British thriller film directed by Robert Fuest and starring Pamela Franklin, Michele Dotrice and Sandor Elès. The plot follows two British nurses on a cycling holiday in rural France; during their trip, one of them vanishes, and the other struggles to search for her in a rural community. Brian Clemens
Brian Horace Clemens (30 July 1931 – 10 January 2015) was an English screenwriter and television producer, possibly best known for his work on '' The Avengers'' and '' The Professionals''. Clemens claimed to be related to Mark Twain (Samuel Langhorne Clemens), a fact reflected in the naming of his two sons, Samuel Joshua Twain Clemens and George Langhorne Clemens. Jean Carmet (25 April 1920 – 20 April 1994) was a French actor. Life and career Jean Carmet began working on stage and then in film in the early 1940s becoming a very popular comedic actor in his native country. He is best known internationally for his role as a French colonist in the 1976 film, '' La Victoire en Chantant'' (Black and White in Color). Because of his good-natured manner, he was as popular with members of the film crew as he was with the audiences. During his long career, he appeared in more than 200 films, and although he played dramatic parts, he usually acted in a supporting role as a comedic character. Claude Bertrand (24 March 1919 – 14 December 1986) was a French film, television and voiceover actor. In a career that has spanned four decades, Bertrand was best known in French film and television as a voice over actor. He was the French dub for Roger Moore, Charles Bronson, John Wayne, Bud Spencer and Burt Lancaster. He also shared his voice in animation, he provided the voice of Baloo in the French version of The Jungle Book, O'Malley in The Aristocats and Little John in Robin Hood. He also voiced Captain Haddock in Tintin and the Temple of the Sun and Tintin and the Lake of Sharks. He also dubbed Roger Moore into French in the James Bond series between 1973 and 1985. Hana Maria Pravda (, Becková; after first marriage, Munk; after second marriage, Pravda; 29 January 1916, Prague − 22 May 2008, Oxford) was a Czech actress. Biography Hana Becková was born in Prague, 29 January 1916. She trained in Leningrad in 1936 under Alexei Dikii. On her return to Prague, she married her first husband, Alexander Munk who was a student activist. Pravda worked in Czech theatre before the outbreak of World War II and made five films (under the names Hana Becková, Hana Bělská, Hana Alexandrová and Hana Pravdová). When the war broke out, Hana and her husband Alexander Munk were sent to Theresienstadt concentration camp and were subsequently transferred to the Auschwitz concentration camp where they became separated.
