Analyzing White America
''Paul Mooney: Analyzing White America'' is a 2002 stand-up comedy film starring comedian Paul Mooney (comedian), Paul Mooney, with Joe Inscoe, Bridget Gethis, and Kate Fleckenstein featured in situation comedy, sitcom-like cut scenes between Mooney's regular stand-up routine. Among the topics covered are the September 11, 2001 attacks, September 11th terrorist attacks, Nigger, the "N" word, interracial marriage, Jerry Springer, and caucasian race, white people being obsessed with wildlife, wild animals to the point of being in danger or being killed. A 2006 reissue of the DVD features a bonus interview by producer/actor Tim Reid (''WKRP in Cincinnati'', ''Frank's Place''). ''Analyzing White America'' was Mooney's first DVD release, followed by ''Know Your History: Jesus Is Black; So Was Cleopatra'' in 2006. Paul Mooney (comedian)
Paul Gladney (August 4, 1941 – May 19, 2021), better known by the stage name Paul Mooney, was an American comedian, writer, and actor. He collaborated with Redd Foxx, Eddie Murphy and Dave Chappelle, wrote for comedian Richard Pryor and the television series ''Sanford and Son'', ''In Living Color'' and ''Chappelle's Show'', as well as acting in ''The Buddy Holly Story'' (1978), Spike Lee's satirical film ''Bamboozled'' (2000) and ''Chappelle's Show''. Early life Mooney was born in 1941 in Shreveport, Louisiana, and moved to Oakland, California, seven years later. His parents were George Gladney and LaVoya Ealy. Mooney was raised primarily by his grandmother Aimay Ealy, known among the family as "Mama". ''WKRP in Cincinnati'' is an American sitcom television series about the misadventures of the staff of a struggling fictional radio broadcasting, radio station in Cincinnati, Ohio. The show was created by Hugh Wilson (director), Hugh Wilson and was based upon his experiences working in advertising sales at Top 40 Contemporary hit radio, radio station WQXI (AM), WQXI in Atlanta, including many of the characters. Stand-up comedy is a comedic performance to a live audience in which the performer addresses the audience directly from the stage. The performer is known as a comedian, a comic or a stand-up. Stand-up comedy consists of one-liners, stories, observations or a shtick that may incorporate props, music, magic tricks or ventriloquism. It can be performed almost anywhere, including comedy clubs, comedy festivals, bars, nightclubs, colleges or theatres.
