Amy Diaz (born August 6, 1984) is an American actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder who competed in the Miss USA 2008 and Miss Earth United States 2009. She is from Providence, Rhode Island. Diaz, along with her husband Jason Case, won the twenty-third installment of the U.S. reality television show ''The Amazing Race''. Background Diaz attended Classical High School in Providence, Rhode Island. She is of Dominican descent. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communication with a Minor in Psychology from Barry University. In May 2007 she completed dual master's degrees in Business Administration and Sport Management there. Miss Earth United States
Miss Earth USA (formerly Miss Earth United States) is an annual beauty pageant which selects the United States representative to Miss Earth which is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness. The current titleholder is Natalia Salmon from Pennsylvania. Salmon was crowned Miss Earth USA 2022 on January 8, 2022 by the reigning Miss Earth USA, Marisa Butler of Maine during the competition that was held at the Orange County Convention Center's Linda Chapin Theater in Orlando, Florida. But after her 6 months of reign as Miss Earth USA, Salmon was later dethroned by the Miss Earth USA organization in July 7, 2022 because of unknown reasons. Miss Rhode Island Teen USA
The Miss Rhode Island Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Rhode Island in the Miss Teen USA pageant and the name of the title held by that winner. Rhode Island has placed six times at the Miss Teen USA Pageant, most recently in 2009 when Talia Turco made the top 15. The state's first finalist was Shaelyn McNally in 2006. One of those semi-finalists was Shanna Moakler, who would later win the Miss New York USA pageant and takeover the Miss USA title when Chelsi Smith won Miss Universe. The Miss Rhode Island USA competition is the beauty pageant that selects the representative for the state Rhode Island in the Miss USA pageant. It is currently directed by D&D Productions. Rhode Island made its first placement at Miss USA in 1961 and has been one of the most consistent states since 2000, with four semi-finalist placements and one first runner-up placement. Miss USA 2007 was the 56th Miss USA pageant, held at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California on March 23, 2007, after two weeks of events and preliminary competition. The winner of the pageant was Rachel Smith of Tennessee. The pageant was broadcast live on NBC from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California one month earlier than the 2006 pageant.
