Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Mónica Miguel
Mónica Miguel (born Gloria Chávez Miguel; 13 March 1936 – 12 August 2020) was a Mexican actress, director, and singer. Career Passionate about the arts and especially the theater, she would attend the occasional stage plays that came to Tepic. She joined a performance troupe that was supported by the local administration, but that support came to an end when the administration changed hands. In pursuit of her artistic dreams on the stage, she traveled to Mexico City. She studied theater at the academy of the Asociación Nacional de Actores. Ada Carrasco
Ada Carrasco (14 September 1912 – 5 April 1994) was a Mexican film and television actress. Early life Carrasco was born in Mexico City, the daughter of Honorato Carrasco, an engineer, and the opera star Ada Navarrete. Career Carrasco started her career as an actress in 1952, and went on to make over 38 soap operas, including ''Los Ricos También Lloran'', with Verónica Castro in 1979, '' Rosa Salvaje'' in 1987, ''De Frente al Sol'' in 1992, ''Más Allá del Puente'' in 1994, and finally, her last soap opera was made in 1994 in '' Marimar'' with Thalía. Roberto Blandón
Roberto Blandon (born Roberto Blandon Jolly; March 8, 1961 in Mexico City) is a television actor in Mexico who starred in soap operas in that country in 1989, including the role of Henry in the soap opera "Mi segunda madre" producer Juan Osorio. Yolanda Ventura (born October 21, 1968 in Barcelona, Spain) is a dual nationality Spanish/Mexican actress and was a Spanish singer when she was young . She is best known for roles in Mexican telenovelas and is a former member of the Spanish children's music band Parchís. She joined Parchís after a recording company posted an advertisement looking for kids who could sing, dance, and act. A few months later, in 1979, the band was formed and named after the Spanish version of the ''Pachisi'' board game.
