Amirsoy Mountain Resort
Amirsoy Mountain Resort is the largest ski resort in Uzbekistan, and the most modern ski resort in Central Asia. It opened in 2019 in the Western Tian Shan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and has been described by Lonely Planet as “next-season St Moritz.”. History Uzbekistan’s winter sports industry dates back to the Soviet period when ski resorts were built at Beldersoy and Chimgan in the Western Tian Shan Mountains in Tashkent Region. The Amirsoy Mountain Resort was conceived in 2017 by Uzbek businessman Rashvan Ubaidullaev. In the first phase of development, Ubaidullaev and his co-investors invested €100m to create the resort, including supporting infrastructure such as access roads. Tashkent Region ( uz, Toshkent viloyati, Тошкент вилояти, russian: Ташкентская область) is a viloyat (region) of Uzbekistan, located in the northeastern part of the country, between the Syr Darya River and the Tien Shan Mountains. A ski is a narrow strip of semi-rigid material worn underfoot to glide over snow. Whistler Blackcomb
Whistler Blackcomb is a ski resort located in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. By many measures it is the largest ski resort in North America and has the greatest uphill lift capacity. It features the Peak 2 Peak Gondola for moving between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains at the top. With all of this capacity, Whistler Blackcomb is also often the busiest ski resort, often surpassing 2 million visitors a year. Les Trois Vallées (; ''The Three Valleys'') is a ski region in the Tarentaise Valley in the Savoie department of Southeastern France, to the south of the town of Moûtiers, partly in Vanoise National Park. Since 1971, it has been possible to ski the interlinked valleys using a single ski pass. Thus, Les Trois Vallées is the largest connected ski area in the world which is linked solely by ski lifts and slopes. PGI Management (Pas Grau Internacional Management) is an Andorra-based, international ski operation management company. PGI Management is the international branch of SAETDE/Grandvalira.
