Amina Adamu Aliyu is a Nigerian judge from Kano State She was born in Kano Municipal Local Government Area of Kano State. Education She started her education in Kwalli Special Primary School, in Kano State, she move to Federal Government Girls College Bida between 1975 and 1979, she attended Ahmadu Bello University Zaria between 1982 and 1986 where she obtained Bachelor of Laws she when to Nigerian Law School where she was trained as Legal Practitioner and she was called to bar in May 1989. Kano State
Kano State (Hausa: ''Jihar Kano''جىِهَر كَنوُ) (Fula: Leydi Kano 𞤤𞤫𞤴𞤣𞤭 𞤳𞤢𞤲𞤮𞥅 ) is one of the 36 states of Nigeria, located in the northern region of the country. Kano Emirate
The Kano Emirate was a Muslim state in Northern Nigeria formed in 1349 during the reign of Sarkin Kano Ali Yaji when Wangarawa brought Islam into Kano and Sarki Ali made Islam as State religion (www.rumburilmi.com.ng). Sarki Muhammadu Rumfa (1463-1499) consolidated the achievement of Sarki Ali Yaji when he became Sarki. Rumfa's reign is believed to be the greatest in terms of both economic and intellectual development till date. He helped introduce Ajami (a Hausa language writing using Arabic texts) which continued until 1903 with the beginning of British colonialism after they deposed a fulani Sarki named Ali Babba. Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero (born 1 April 1956) is the eldest son of Ado Bayero and the brother of current Emir Aminu Ado Bayero. He was the Chiroma (Crown Prince) of Kano from 1990 to 2015; and was titled Wambai (a prestigious title) of Kano by his brother. Ado Bayero CFR, LLD, JP (25 July 1930 – 6 June 2014) was the Emir of Kano from 1963 to 2014. Early life Lineage Ado Bayero was born on 25 July 1930 into the royal family of the Fulani Sullubawa clan that has ruled over the Emirate of Kano since 1819. 2019 Nigerian General Election
General elections were held in Nigeria on 23 February 2019 to elect the President, Vice President, House of Representatives and the Senate. The elections had initially been scheduled for 16 February, but the Electoral Commission postponed the vote by a week at 03:00 on the original polling day, citing logistical challenges in getting electoral materials to polling stations on time. In some places, the vote was delayed until 24 February due to electoral violence.
