"Amen" is a song by Italy, Italian singer/songwriter Francesco Gabbani. The song was released as a digital download on 27 November 2015 through BMG Rights Management, BMG and Warner Music Group as the lead single from his second studio album ''Eternamente ora'' (2016). The song won the newcomers competition at the Sanremo Music Festival 2016, 66th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival, where it was also awarded the "Mia Martini" Critics' Award, the "Sergio Bardotti" Award for Best Lyrics, and the "Emanuele Luzzati" Award. Music video A music video to accompany the release of "Amen" was first released onto YouTube on 1 December 2015 at a total length of three minutes and nineteen seconds. Francesco Gabbani
Francesco Gabbani (born 9 September 1982) is an Italian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He rose to fame after winning the newcomers' section of the Sanremo Music Festival 2016 with the song "Amen". The next year, he went on to win the main section of the Sanremo Music Festival 2017 with the song " Occidentali's Karma", and represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 finishing in 6th place. Life and career 2009–2014: Early beginnings and ''Greitist Iz'' In 2009, Gabbani featured on Mira Leon's single "Filodoro". He released his debut singles "Estate" and "Maledetto amore" in 2011.
