Ambérieu-en-Bugey
Ambérieu-en-Bugey (; frp, Ambèriô) is a commune in the department of Ain, region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. It is the largest town in the arrondissement of Belley and the capital of the Canton of Ambérieu-en-Bugey which consists of 8 communes with a total of 21,226 inhabitants in 2007 with 17,466 inhabitants in its own urban area in 2010. It is also the capital of the historic region of Bugey. Its inhabitants are known as ''Ambarrois'' or ''Ambarroises''. The town was called ''Ambérieu'' until 31 March 1955 when it became ''Ambérieu-en-Bugey''. The town is known for being an important railway junction, but also for winning the Croix de guerre 1939-1945 with citation at the Liberation. Saint-Rambert-en-Bugey
Saint-Rambert-en-Bugey (, literally ''Saint-Rambert in Bugey'') is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France. History The commune takes its name from St Rambert (or Ragnebert) who was assassinated here in the 7th century. The site soon became popular for pilgrimage and an influential abbey was built in the town. Geography The river Albarine flows southwest through the commune. Mâcon
Mâcon (), historically anglicised as Mascon, is a city in east-central France. It is the prefecture of the department of Saône-et-Loire in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
