Xalapa or Jalapa (, ), officially Xalapa-Enríquez (), is the capital city of the Mexican state of Veracruz and the name of the surrounding municipality. Tlacotalpan is a municipality located in the eastern coastal region of the Mexican state of Veracruz. It covers a total surface area of , accounting for 0.89% of the state total.
