Amanda Mair
Amanda Ulrika Magdalena Mair (pronounced "Mayer") (born 14 June 1994) is a Swedish singer and musician. She released her self-titled debut album in 2012. Her music has been profiled by various publications including ''Elle'', ''Seventeen'', and ''Billboard'' in the United States. Her musical style is frequently compared to Kate Bush. Early life Amanda Mair was raised in Lidingö, Sweden, an island outside Stockholm. Her parents own a bakery. Her mother is Finnish and her father is Austrian. Mair has two older sisters and an older half-brother. Her sisters, who also sang and played instruments, influenced her music tastes during childhood. She studied at the Rytmus Musikergymnasiet, a performing arts school in Stockholm. ''Aftonbladet'' (, lit. "The evening paper") is a Swedish daily newspaper published in Stockholm, Sweden. It is one of the largest daily newspapers in the Nordic countries. History and profile The newspaper was founded by Lars Johan Hierta in December 1830 under the name of ''Aftonbladet i Stockholm'' during the modernization of Sweden. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Midsummer is a celebration of the season of summer usually held at a date around the summer solstice. It has pagan pre-Christian roots in Europe. Friska Viljor are a Swedish indie rock band from Stockholm. Daniel Johansson and Joakim Sveningsson founded the band in January 2005. The men of Friska Viljor have pledged to never compose sober. Their debut album ''Bravo!'' was released in Sweden in 2006 then the rest of the world the following year. ''Tour de Hearts'' was released to the world on 21 May 2008. The Mary Onettes
The Mary Onettes are an indie rock/dream pop band from Jönköping, Sweden, signed to Labrador Records. To date, the band has released three full-length studio albums and four EPs. History The Mary Onettes were formed in 2000 in the Swedish town of Jönköping by Philip Ekström (vocals, guitar), his brother Henrik Ekström (bass), Petter Agurén (guitar) and Simon Fransson (drums). The band was drawn together by their common interest in 1980s and 1990s music, especially bands such as the Stone Roses and the Cure. They earned their first record deal in 2004, but were dropped after only six months without the opportunity to release any recorded material. Rockbjörnen (Swedish: ''the Rock Bear'') is a music prize in Sweden, divided into several categories, which is awarded annually by the newspaper ''Aftonbladet''.
